Nuclear Energy

In the News: The 8.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Japan on March 11th triggered a tsunami that swept over the country’s Pacific coast line. The death toll will likely exceed 10,000. Three nuclear reactors suffered partial meltdowns while another saw the release of radioactive material into the atmosphere. These devastating events have brought the debate over the pros and cons of nuclear energy to the forefront.
