In 1982, the American Library Association\u2019s Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF) began publicizing the challenges to library materials that were made by patrons and other user groups. Based on reports from libraries, schools, and the media, here is just a sample of those challenged books (1982-present) as compiled by the OIF. See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/advocacy\/banned\/frequentlychallenged\">http:\/\/www.ala.org\/advocacy\/banned\/frequentlychallenged<\/a> for more information.
