In the News: <\/em>This week we take a look at the North African country of Libya<\/a> as well as its leader, Colonel Muammar el-Qaddafi, who has been in power since 1969.<\/p>\n

Also In the News<\/em>: March 25th<\/sup> was the 100th<\/sup> anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire<\/a> that claimed the lives of 146 immigrant workers. According to the ILR School at Cornell University, this incident continues to have great significance because \u201cit highlights the inhumane working conditions to which industrial workers can be subjected.
