Video Clips Now in Newsbank

Newsbank has added video news content to their online resources. In addition to the 600 US and 500 international full-text newspapers already in  Access World News, search results now include video from The Associated Press, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, local affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox, as well as coverage from Canadian Broadcasting, Agence France-Presse, and more.

  • Play news videos within the NewsBank interface, in the same space used to display text articles
  • Select specific videos from a comprehensive results lists that also includes NewsBank articles, or restrict their search to “video only”
  • Access recent and archived news videos at your institution or remotely

New Features Added to Education Resources Information Center (ERIC)

Education researchers, try out the new features added to ERIC’s redesigned Web site  www.eric.ed.gov (released in August):

  • RSS feeds
  • Journals’ list update and downloadable file
  • Thesaurus ‘Summer 2008’ update
  • Tutorial additions

ERIC provides unlimited access to more than 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials, with hundreds of new records added twice weekly. More>>
