LexisNexis Academic (LexisNexis)

Provides access to over a billion full-text news, magazine, legal, and business articles and information from newspapers, magazines, government documents, newsletters, business industries and companies, and state and federal laws.


MLA International Bibliography

Includes over one million citations from journals. Indexes books, essay collections, proceedings, dissertation, etc. pertaining to folklore, language, and literature. Sources number more than 6,500.


Proquest Dissertations & Theses

Access citations and abstracts for all titles in the Dissertation Abstracts databases. Titles published since 1997 are available in 24 page PDF previews.


Social Sciences Full Text

Subject areas include addiction studies, anthropology, area studies, community health and medical care, corrections, criminal justice, criminology, economics, environmental studies, ethics, family studies, gender studies, geography, gerontology, international relations, law, minority studies, planning and public administration, policy sciences, political science, psychiatry, psychology, public welfare, social work, sociology, and urban studies. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


ISI Web of Knowledge

Includes the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Science Citation Index Expanded. Allows users to search for cited references.


Wilson Web

OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text. Full-text articles from five additional periodical databases are also included when available: Applied Science & Technology Full Text, Art Full Text, Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature & Information Science Full Text. Full-text coverage begins in 1994. Each database has its own start dates for indexing, abstracting, and full text; start dates for full-text rights to individual journals vary within a database.

International Communication Association

International association for scholars interested in all aspects of mediated communication. Organization began more than 50 years ago and now boasts a membership of over 3,500 members from 65 countries.


International Society for the History of Rhetoric

Organization that promotes the theory and practice of rhetoric. Practical rhetorical skills are not emphasized.


National Communication Association

Non-profit organization that includes over 7,100 members from over 20 countries. Works towards enhancing research, teaching, and service within the discipline of communication. Founded in 1914, it is the largest and oldest organization to promote communication scholarship and education.


Rhetoric Cafe

Rhetoric Society of America

The organization "gather[s] from all relevant fields of study, and...disseminate[s] among its members, current knowledge of rhetoric, broadly construed."


Rhetorical and Cultural Studies: Critical Theory
