International Communication Association

International association for scholars interested in all aspects of mediated communication. Organization began more than 50 years ago and now boasts a membership of over 3,500 members from 65 countries.


National Communication Association

Non-profit organization that includes over 7,100 members from over 20 countries. Works towards enhancing research, teaching, and service within the discipline of communication. Founded in 1914, it is the largest and oldest organization to promote communication scholarship and education.


Rhetorical and Cultural Studies: Critical Theory

From the University of Iowa's Communication Studies Department. This page provides links to sites about theorists and scholars from rhetorical and cultural studies, e.g. Adorno, Bourdieu, Foucault, Habermas, etc.


Southern States Communication Association

A not-for-profit organization that promotes the "study, criticism, research, teaching, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication."
