Selected Web Sites

The selected websites provide references to case studies and information on how they can be purchased and how educators can obtain permission to use a case study with a class. There are only a few WEB sites that provide limited "free" access to the full text of case studies.

CasePlace.org

This website provides access to case studies by subject, as a service of the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program (BSP). There are a limited number of free case studies available. If a free download is not available then information about how to locate and purchase a case study is provided.

Darden Business Publishing

Cases are available for purchase through the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Cases can be accessed by topic (e.g. ethics), and an abstract is included in the description of the case.

Harvard Business School Cases

Case studies are arranged by topic or course offered with a section just for undergraduate study. References to supplementary materials for teaching, such as books and Harvard Business Review reprinted articles, are also available. Case studies and other supplementary materials can be ordered online, along with the necessary permission.

Ivey Publishing

This website is maintained by the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Cases can be accessed by keyword searching and discipline (e.g. marketing). There is also a listing of cases by theme (e.g. biotechnology). Abstracts are included with the references to the cases, which can be purchased online, along with the necessary permission.

About this Guide

This guide was designed by Dr. Darlene Ann Parrish to help identify resources on Case Studies and related topics in the FAU Libraries. Some of these resources have full-text articles available online. To access these resources from off campus, use the Off Campus Connect (EZproxy) link and log in using your 14-digit Owl Card number and your 4-digit birth month and day in the format "MMDD." For further assistance, please contact the Reference Desk by telephone (561-297-3785) or send e-mail to lyref@fau.edu.
