Popular and academic/scholarly. Provides citations to reviews found in the print version of Book Review Digest, plus those found in other H.W. Wilson indexes such as: Art Index, Humanities Index, Social Sciences Index, Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature, Education Index, and more.
Books in Print (1979-present)
Provides reviews and review citations for in-print and out-of-print titles.

Primarily academic/scholarly titles. NOTE: Only 5 FAU users may be connected at a time.
Historical New York Times (1895 to three years before the current date)
Access book reviews that have been published in the New York Times. Limit your search by selecting "Review" from the Document Type pull-down menu.
Features book reviews that were published in 5 major U.S. newspapers: The New York Times (1999 to date), Los Angeles Times (1985 to date), Washington Post (1987 to date), Christian Science Monitor (1988 to date), and Wall Street Journal (1984 to date). For older New York Times reviews, see Historical New York Times above. Limit your search by selecting "Book Review" from the Document Type pull-down menu.
Covers U.S. and Canadian history from prehistory to the present. Do an "Advanced" search and click the magnifying glass next to the "Document Type" search box. Checkmark "Book Review," then click on "Paste Terms."
Geared mainly for librarians, this database provides reviews to reference materials found in libraries.
Access book reviews published in newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic, minority, and native presses. Do an "Advanced" search and from the "Document Type" pull-down menu, select 'Book Review."
Select the "Advanced Search" option, then go down to the "Filter By" section and from the "Document Type" pull-down menu, select "book reviews."
Useful for locating scholarly and popular reviews on women's and gender studies, and Select the "Advanced Search" tab. In the "More Search Options" section, select "Book review" from the "Document Type" pull-down menu.
From Humanities & Social Sciences Online. Free open-access site that provides timely reviews of recently-published academic titles in the humanities. Most reviews are written by experts in the field.
Provides reviews of academic/scholarly titles in the humanities, social sciences, business, ecology, arts, and ethnic studies. Use the "Advanced Search" option and checkmark the "Review" box under the "Narrow Your Search To:" options.
Select the "Expert" search option from the opening page. Scroll down to the "Search Options" section, then select "Printed Material Review" from the "Document Type" pull-down menu.
Academic/Scholarly. Select the "Advanced Search" option, then limit your search "By Type" to "Reviews."
