Alternative Press Index

Indexes journals covering cultural, economic, political and social change from 1991 to present.


Anthropology Plus

Anthropology Plus brings together into one resource the highly respected Anthropological Literature from Harvard University and Anthropological Index, Royal Anthropological Institute from the UK. Anthropology Plus provides extensive worldwide indexing of journal articles, reports, commentaries, edited works, and obituaries in the fields of social, cultural, physical, biological, and linguistic anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, folklore, material culture, and interdisciplinary studies. The index offers excellent coverage of all core periodicals in the field in addition to local and lesser-known journals. Coverage is from the late 19th century to the present.

Includes scholarly journals, news magazines and newspaper articles regarding arts and humanities, social sciences and science and technology disciplines.


GEOBASE

Contains citations with abstracts covering worldwide literature on geography, geology, ecology, international development, and their related disciplines. Subject coverage includes cartography, climatology, energy, environment, geomorphology, hydrology, photogrammetry, sedimentology, geochemistry, geophysics, paleontology, petrology, volcanology, and much more.


GeoRef

The GeoRef database is the most comprehensive database in the geosciences. The GeoRef database covers the geology of North America from 1785 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present.


Handbook of Latin American Studies

A bibliography on Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities. Each year, more than 130 academics from around the world choose over 5,000 works for inclusion in the Handbook.

Covers African American Studies, Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology and Statistics.


Springer Link

Provides access to scholarly journals in business, law, medicine, humanities, science, and social science disciplines. This resource also provides access to the following book series: Lecture Notes in Physics and Topics in Current Chemistry .


Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts

Assists both generalists and specialists in keeping abreast of cutting-edge developments in disciplines concerned with the nature and use of language. The database covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Complete coverage is also given to various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical and geographical linguistics.


MLA International Bibliography

Indexes critical literary and language scholarship and provides access to over 4,000 journals and serials published worldwide, as well as books, essay collections, working papers, proceedings, dissertations, and bibliographies.


Periodicals Archive Online

Provides indexing for the contents of older issues of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences dating back to 1770. Complete tables of contents are included for each issue of each journal. Includes journals in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and other Western languages. Contains some full text articles.


OmniFile Full Text Mega Edition

Wilson OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases:Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text. Full-text articles from five additional periodical databases are also included when available: Applied Science & Technology Full Text, Art Full Text, Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature amp; Information Science Full Text. Full-text coverage begins in 1994. Each database has its own start dates for indexing, abstracting, and full text; start dates for full-text rights to individual journals vary within a database.


Proquest Dissertations & Theses

Authoritative source for information about U.S. doctoral dissertations and master's theses. This database represents the work of authors from over 1,000 graduate schools and universities.


Social Sciences Full Text

Subject areas include addiction studies, anthropology, area studies, community health and medical care, corrections, criminal justice, criminology, economics, environmental studies, ethics, family studies, gender studies, geography, gerontology, international relations, law, minority studies, planning and public administration, policy sciences, political science, psychiatry, psychology, public welfare, social work, sociology, and urban studies. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


Web of Science

A multidisciplinary database covering the journal literature of the social sciences. It indexes 1,144 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals, as well as covering individually selected, relevant items from over 6,800 major science and social science journals.
