Compendex – December Database of the Month

Compendex (1970 to present) is the most comprehensive bibliographic database of engineering research available today. Coverage includes nuclear technology, bioengineering, transportation, chemical and process engineering, light and optical technology, agricultural engineering and food technology, computers and data processing, applied physics, electronics and communications, control, civil, mechanical, materials, petroleum, aerospace and automotive engineering as well as narrower subtopics within all these and other major engineering fields.

When combined with the Engineering Index Backfile, coverage spans well over 120 years of core engineering literature and provides a comprehensive, historical view of engineering developments and innovations described in literature from 1884-1969.  Full searching capabilities allow easy access to original records chronicling virtually every major engineering breakthrough from the late 19th through 20th centuries.

Compendex is updated weekly with thousands of new records, and with email and RSS alerts on new records in areas of interest, users can stay up-to-date on the latest developments.

In addition to access on the Engineering Village platform, Compendex (1970 to present) is also available at http://ezproxy.fau.edu/login?url=http://ei.cits.fcla.edu/.
