Classical Music Library – May Database of the Month

Classical Music Library is a fully searchable classical music resource — a comprehensive collection of distinguished classical recordings from renowned classical music labels such as EMI, Decca and Deutsche Grammophon. You can also search Classical Music Library along with other music reference databases at Music Online.

Classical Scores & Music References Online

Classical Scores Library contains hundreds of thousands of pages of the most important classical music scores, manuscripts, and previously unpublished material, allowing for the study and analysis of more than 8,000 musical scores. Many items have associated audio tracks in Classical Music Library, so that subscribers to both collections can listen to a recording online while following along with the full score.

Classical Music Library Has a New Look

In addition to a new interface, the latest release of Classical Music Library includes new features and updates.

  • Album Browse: Browse all classical works by album and find associated recordings.
  • Updated Playlists: Individual items in a playlist can be annotated, and links to any item (whether available in Classical Music Library or on the Web) can easily be added.
  • Content Sharing: Create, name, and annotate a personal playlist. Then choose to share it with other users at your institution, or with anyone who subscribes to Classical Music Library.
  • Advanced Search: The improved Advanced Search allows you to limit results to recordings where the complete work is available. Continue reading
